Sip. Savor. Repeat. During Savor Sarasota Restaurant Week (June 1 - 14)

Our favorite foodie week of the year is almost here, Savor Sarasota! Now more than ever our local restaurants need our support and what better way to eat local and savor while social distancing. During the first two weeks of June, local chefs have crafted prix-fixe, multi-course lunch and dinner menus for just $16 and $32 per person. To celebrate 15 years of Savor Sarasota, Visit Sarasota County is giving away 15 restaurant gift cards to 5 lucky locals. That’s nearly $1,000 in area eats (see more details below on how to enter)! New this year, restaurants are also offering their Savor menus to-go to comply with COVID-19 regulations.

Here's a look at a few participating restaurants!

Bavaro's Pizza Napoletana & Pastaria

After much success in the Tampa Bay area, Bavaro’s expanded over to SRQ this past summer and boy are we glad they did! A company committed to the art and craft of Neapolitan pizza, Bavaro’s stays true to tradition by using hand-crafted, wood-fired brick ovens designed by third-generation Neapolitan craftsmen, a 100-year-old yeast culture, 100-year-old Neapolitan recipes, and top-of-the-line ingredients sourced directly from Italy. During Savor Sarasota, enjoy dishes like bruschetta, margherita pizza, pasta Bavaro and more. Best part yet, included in the $16 (lunch) and $32 (dinner) you can choose from either a glass of wine or beer to have with your meal. Cheers to that!

Brick's Smoked Meats

Brick’s is a Florida-influenced, modern day interpretation of the classic Central Texas traditions of barbecue and cuisine. After years of sold out Saturdays at the Sarasota market, they purchased a bigger pit which is now their pride and joy, an Oyler Smoker. This bad boy can cook 1800 lbs. of meat at once! From 18 hour smoked brisket to hand-cut steaks and chops, Brick’s is definitely a must when dining downtown. On their Savor menu you will find favorites like Brisket Horseradish Tacos and Kale Apple Salad with pulled chicken, pickled apple, mandarin orange chimichurri, smoked pecan, apple sour cream dressing and cotija. Yum!!

Selva Grill

Hands down, Selva is one of the best Peruvian restaurants in Sarasota and every year we look forward to their Savor menu roll out. They’ve earned raves from all over the world, including from the New York Times, which write that Selva is “serving possibly the best food in Sarasota,” and that “everything on the menu is worth trying.” This year enjoy Selva’s favorites like their Wild Ceviche, Famous Skirt Steak, Salmon Chileno and much more for such a great price. The Salmon Chileno alone is $38 on their regular menu, so you’re getting an incredible deal during Savor Sarasota. Side Dish: We can’t wait for their second location to open near UTC!
